About the Author
Marcia Egan, PhD, is Associate Professor in the College of Social Work at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She collaborates with the UT Institute on Women's Health in an interdisciplinary, community-based, maternal-child health project. Her research on social work health care practice and on resilience among marginalized women is published regularly in several leading peer-reviewed journals.
Goldie Kadushin, PhD, is Associate Professor in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is coordinator of the UW-M Interdisciplinary Certificate in Applied Gerontology and is co-author of Social Work Interview: A Guide for Human Service Professionals.
