Good theoretical and practical guide for ESL teachers.

The book provides a variety of examples of methods based on these principles and enables a teacher to choose the strategy most appropriate in any particular situation. It also examines the factors that influence both native language and second language reading, similarities and differences in first and second language acquisition, and relationship between first and second languages.
